Visit From Myanmar Timber Enterprise – Sharing our experience

Today we had a visit from Elephant Veterinarian, Dr Moe Win Tun and Camp Manager U Min Thet Swe from Myanmar who work for Myanmar Timber Enterprise. They came to visit Thailand for the Elephant Welfare Conference in Lampang and were interested in learning about how Thailand keeps elephants in Captivity. It was a pleasure speaking with them and showing them our program and our approach. They seemed very interested in the concept.

This visit is important as elephants in Myanmar can no longer be used for logging so they are looking at more ethical alternatives.
